About Me

Hi, my name is Sabrina Pietraroia and I am currently studying at the University of Victoria under the Bachelor of Education – Elementary Curriculum.

In this blog I am going to be exploring the importance of teachers’ understanding and use of non-verbal language in the classroom. My inquiry: How can I build on my previous ASL learning to develop storytelling skills that I can use as a future educator? By the end of this blog, I hope to be able to re-tell a children’s book in ASL using appropriate grammar and storytelling techniques.
